In less than twenty four hours, Facebook’s Poke App has climbed to the number one spot on the iTunes free app chart. The App which is designed for the iPhone brings a few fresh twists to what is essentially another chat app, and has simply soared in popularity since its release. Thus Facebook is once again maintaining its reputation for delivering solid and clean apps for those seeking to network more efficiently.
The timing for the release of this app just in time for the festive season could not have been better selected. Not only does the holidays create a boom in app downloads, but especially so when the app enables communication between friends and family during this peak communication period. In fact, with many individuals set to receive new iPhones as gifts over this December, Facebook can expect the download to increase even more.
