New for the 2010 Season, iPhone App My Future Star Baseball is Helping Busy Parents Keep Track of their All-Star Athletes

Faced with the need for an all-inclusive application so parents can get more involved in the sporting lives of their children, My Future Star Baseball is becoming as much of a baseball staple as are sunflower seeds and hot dogs. A busy coach himself, the apps creator Michael Lusic has extensive baseball experience. A member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, the National High School Athletic Coaches Association, and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association, Lusic is hoping parents never have to stare into the face of a disappointed youngster; all because they showed up late and missed out on a childs defensive gem, walk-off homerun, or the best game ever played by their young son or daughter.
Anyone who is a loving parent knows how terrible a feeling it is to personally disappoint their child, says Lusic. Just imagining the look on a childs face as they worriedly scan the bleachers for their absent parents was enough for me to want to create this application.
My Future Star Baseball lets users set simple reminders for any desired time period and receive notification from audible alerts and on-screen messages, displaying information such as game times and even game locations. For the stat-heads out there, the app also allows for 50 total stat inputs (23 hitting, 18 pitching, and 9 fielding stats) including your basic HR and RBI tracker, while also calculating WHIP, K/BB ratio, slugging percentage, and more.
We tried to give the app as many elements as possible for parents to utilize while watching their kids on the field, Lusic continues. Aside from the reminder feature and stats, the app has email capabilities and social media connections, allowing you to email friends and relatives directly from the game, or post game highlights immediately to Facebook and Twitter. Parents who have multiple kids with varying schedules will enjoy the apps multi-page setup, giving each child their own personalized profile and schedule.
Its common among groups of little league parents to have that one mom or dad who is always running late, or who routinely forgets about a game. My Future Star Baseball is taking away the excuse of I was just so busy or it just slipped my mind, and is simply helping parents be better parents.
